The population in Texas is exploding. 12 million new Texas are expected to arrive in the next 10 years. That is a lot of new neighbors, and a LOT more drivers on our roads. But our roads are already pushed to the max with commuters spending endless hours stuck in traffic. And Texas lacks the funds for all the new roads that are needed.

Recently, the Texas Traffic Commission found $7.5 billion to upgrade I-35. Thats great for Austin, but does little to help the majority of Texas drivers and businesses cross the state.

There is a better solution to save taxpayer dollars and build the needed roads Texas needs.

Leveraging the private sector, traffic management systems like managed toll lanes have been highly successful in relieving congestion nationally and in other parts of Texas, including in Houston and the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

Tell TxDOT to pursue a strategy that will help ALL Texas drivers.
